Nicole + Jake!

I love engagement sessions because it is the time I use to get to know each couple's personality, what they do, where they are from you know, what makes them, them! Jake, Nicole and I walked around Fort Desoto, got some fun shots, and laughed a lot:-) When I first met Jake he was kind of quiet but he is totally hilarious! It was a beautiful day, people were out fishing and at least 4 dolphins were swimming right by the pier. I'm still getting use to that being the northerner that I am:-) Check out their sneaks below! Laura + Travis @ Forida Southern

Idea Room: Linens by the Sea

Details, color, and texture are really helps to create the uniqueness and atmosphere of a wedding. It seems like many of the brides I talk to really want something that is going to stand out and be different from what they have seen before.  I recently captured different table scapes for Linens by the Sea. I was really amazed at what the combination of colors and fabrics can create. Here's some of my favorites!!  Florals were by Events in Bloom and venue was the Lange Farm.

Tampa Chamber 2009 SBOY Awards

The Tampa Chamber is such a great resource for small business, whether it's marketing, networking, mentorship you name it and they are there to help. They are one of the first groups I got involved with when we moved to Tampa and it has been an amazing group to be a part of! Their biggest event of the year is the Small Business Awards, which highlight the impact of small business and celebrate the best of Tampa. The theme was rock and roll, and it kicked off with an electric guitar and the National Anthem. There were over 900 people in attendance in the Tampa Convention Center. Small businesses are really important to Tampa's economy so it was really interesting to hear the background and values around each of the companies that were nominated. There are 3 categories ranging from 5-250 employees and also Outstanding Leader of the year.  At the bottom you'll see all the nominees and some sneaks of what the event looked like.  The online gallery is at www.pictage.com/726510
