Real Wedding: Brittany + Blake @ Antioch Golf Club

This past weekend I went up to Illinois for Brittany and Blake's wedding. Time sure flew by since we did their engagement session in Colorado last fall!! They had a beutiful ceremony at Village Church of Gurnee, and in between the wedding and reception we went to their friend's garden. Blake had top hats, gloves, and canes for the guys, which defiantely made for some fun pics. It was an amazing day and such a honor to capture. I got to work with my Chicago associate, Meredith, again which I always love!! During the reception their grandparents were sitting on a bench overlooking the golf course and we were just walked around getting candids and I got them sitting on the bench and Mer got one of them kissing! Such sweet grandparents I had to post these:-) This was a special one because David and I both know their family and it was the church where we got married, and the same bakery for the cake:-) Congrats to you guys, and I hope you are having an amazing honeymoon in St. John!!!

Queen for a Day!!!

Queen for a Day Tampa is a really awesome volunteer organization that raises the self-esteem and self-confidence of pediatric cancer patients by hosting parties for kids to be kids. They pamper girls with make-overs, manicures, and a coronation ceremony where each girl is crowned as a champion over her illness with a tiara donated by a pageant titleholder. The boys are treated with hero-themed gifts, reinforcing bravery and courage through images of police officers and firefighters. I covered their June event at St. Joseph's so you can see first had what they do. I will also be one of the sponsors for their Cheers to You event they are doing July 17th at Hunters Green Country Club. The details are below!

Sneak Peeks: Melissa + Mark @ Dinosaur World!

Melissa and Mark are very creative and wanted to do a really different location for the engagement session. Their first date was at Dinosaur World in Plant City so that's where we did it! Can't wait until their wedding on 10/3/09 at Cross Creek Ranch!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Piet has never had all three of his kids together until this weekend. It was really fun to be able to do a portrait session of them just having fun together, I'm so glad I could capture this for them it's exactly why I love what I do!
